Is Kylie Jenner's Lip Kit Worth The Hype? What Stopped Me From Buying It

Unless you've been living under a rock, you've probably heard by now that Kylie Jenner came out with her very own Lip Kit. It's the product that everybody can't stop talking about, and the product that sold in under a minute. Nowadays, people everywhere want lips as full as Kylie. They're starting to look like Kevin from Spongebob, when he got stung by a jellyfish.
Hi Kevin
No doubt Kylie has definitely changed over the years and has become a fashion icon.
Creds to whoever made this, it's pretty cool

Hearing all the buzz around her lip kits made me want to go out and buy her lip kits. After all treat yo'self right?

While it was waiting for her kits to go for sale, there was one thing that stopped me. According to a lot of people, and what seems to be true by now, is that Kylie's Lip Kits are just Colourpop's lipsticks rebranded. I first heard about it on Twitter and even screenshot the tweets, to do a little more research. Shout out to NikkieTutorials for watching our backs. Pretty soon it was every where that Kylie's Lip Kits were just Colourpop, what a bummer for her customers. Especially those who are trying to sell it for $10,000 (yes $10,000) on eBay.

Colourpop's specific lipsticks are Clueless, Beeper and Limbo. The Colourpop lipstick only sells for $6! Here is a side-by-side photo of both brands and notice how the similarity is uncanny.

It's honestly depressing to see how some people spent $90 or more on products that could've been bought for $18. Whether or not her products are just Colourpop rebranded it still hasn't been confirmed, but I think we can all agree it's pretty obvious. I feel just because Kylie's name was written on these products, people thought they would get lips as big as hers. If she admitted to getting lip fillers (there's nothing wrong with that), then I think you'd also have to get lip fillers to get lips like her's. Yes, makeup can make your lips look fuller, they won't actually be fuller. Does that make sense? I have no hate towards Kylie, but she can do so much better than this. So many people look up to her and it's shame that this incident happened, I thought it would've been exciting to see her lips kits. Anyhow, she said she will be coming out with more products and I can't to see what she has in store next.

Jewelry Time!!

I realized lately that I haven't done any jewelry posts and decided it's time to change that. I got this necklace a couple weeks ago & thought I should share it with you guys.
This is what it looks like:

What I liked about this necklace was it was small and unique. It also still matched my outfits pretty well. It was also a locket, which you can put a small picture or whatever you wanted in it. It was really just a simple necklace that would catch everyone's eye because of it's special design.

How to Do a Fishtail Braid

Still haven't learned how to fishtail braid? This simple fishtail braid tutorial will make you an expert -- instantly

Step 1: Create a ponytail

To begin, gather your hair into a ponytail at the nape of your neck. Use a throwaway rubber band -- one that you can cut away with scissors at the end.

Step 2: Divide your ponytail

Next, split your ponytail evenly into two sections. Unlike the classic braid, a fishtail braid only requires two sections.

Step 3: Begin weaving

Use your finger to separate a small section of your hair from the outer edge near the rubber band and cross it over to the opposite side (overlapping just like you would if you were doing a standard braid). Re-grip your hair to tighten braid, still holding two sections. Repeat with a small section from the other side.

Step 4: Maintain evenness

Continue overlapping pieces from both sides of your ponytail, all the way down to your ends. Be sure to pull small sections from underneath to cross over, and try to grab the same size (about a half inch) sections from each side.

Step 5: Finish Your Look

Once you've woven your hair down to the ends, secure the fishtail braid with another elastic. Then, use scissors to carefully cut out the elastic at the base of your ponytail. Finish your fishtail braid by gently tugging on your braid with your fingers to loosen it for an effortless look.
